Nancy was born in Fujian China, grew up in Sydney and moved to Ōtautahi Christchurch almost a decade ago, lured by the slower pace, lots of sheep and mostly a very convincing partner (now husband).

Photography began as a hobby and an off-course elective at university. It accompanied her adventures as she backpacked around the world with her best friend, documenting every view, every meal and every well-dressed elderly man that crossed their path. She learnt to observe and record the little things and it forged her passion for photography.

These days, Nancy loves capturing the candid and documenting the ordinary and extraordinary of everyday. She loves using simple photographs to tell stories and has had the privilege of helping different organisations and businesses share their story. She’s worked with a number of local and overseas publications, and been fortunate enough to meet and photograph some of the most interesting people and places along the way.
